The history of Veterans Day
Brettley Witte Veterans Day is a holiday to celebrate the veterans who served in the military. Veterans Day is different from Memorial Day in May. In the UK, they are sometimes referred to as hinkypunks , a one-legged wispy figure that leads travellers towards treasure or danger. In Slavic fo

The History of Halloween
By Isabella Pena Nobody knows what year it started specifically, only that it originated around 3,000 BCE and was celebrated as “Samhain” long before the ancient Celts, as a celebration of the beginning of the new year, winter coming, and the harvest season arriving. 609 CE, because of Martin Luther and his 95 Theses, the Roman Catholic Church made a new holiday called “All Hallows Day”; better known as All Saints’ day or All Souls' Day. It was made to be celebrated
