What to get your Significant Other for Valentine’s Day?

  By: Tiffany Margolis

Valentine’s Day is the holiday that is about expressing love and affection through gifts, flowers, cards, and romantic gestures. However, a lot of couples don’t know what to get their partner for Valentine’s Day as they overthink if it’ll be something that they’ll like or if it will be good enough to give. But in reality, your partner usually won’t care what they get; they’ll just care that you cared about them enough to even think about what they would like. I’ve personally also had an issue with not knowing what to get my partner, so I searched for what to get my partner for Valentine’s Day. But this holiday shouldn’t be causing you stress by not knowing what to get for your partner, so a few things you can get your partner based on gender are:

Women —

  • Get her flowers: if you know her favorite kind, you should preferably get her those

  • Buy her jewelry: you should figure out if she likes silver or gold

  • Make her a handmade card: this should be heartfelt

  • Candies and chocolates

  • Stuffed Animals

  • Perfume: Try to look at what perfumes she wears to see what kind of smells she prefers

  • Personal Keepsakes: these can be photos or anything customized

Men —

  • Cologne: try to figure out what smells he likes

  • Body care: this could be like body wash or something he has wanted but doesn’t want to spend a lot on

  • Book

  • An experience: this can be like tickets to a game, a unique place, a concert, or something they’ve been talking about.
