Aunt Jane's Pecan Pie

1 pie crust(homemade,recipe below, or premade)

3 eggs

⅔ cup sugar

½ teaspoon salt

⅓ cup butter or margarine

1 cup dark corn syrup

1 cup chopped pecans

½ cup pecan halves

1 teaspoon vanilla


Preheat oven to 375°F. Beat eggs, and add sugar, salt, butter, syrup, and vanilla. Stir in chopped pecans. Pour into pie crust. Arrange pecan halves on top. Bake until done, and let sit for 40 minutes.

Pie Crust recipe

Yields 3 crusts


2 cups Velvet flour(or sift Gold Medal 3-4 times)

1 cup Crisco


Instructions: Mix and chop fine. Add ¼ cup cold water and 1 tablespoon cold water. Separate into 3 rolls. Then roll on floured surface and place in pie pans.
