The Origin Of Spider-Man

By: Pablo Gonzalez

Spider-Man is one of the most popular superheroes in the world, and in my opinion, the best hero there is. Spider-Man was created by Stan Lee and Steve Ditko in 1962, first seen in Amazing Fantasy #15. Stan Lee and Steve Ditko created Spider-Man to be a relatable hero for kids. Peter Parker was bitten by a radioactive spider during a science experiment, giving him superpowers. Uncle Ben, who was Peter’s uncle, was killed by a burglar. Peter has to deal with his teenage life and the responsibility of being a hero; that is where the famous line comes from, “With great power there must also come -- great responsibility!”
