With us reaching the peak of the cold season, there is going to be a massive winter storm coming to East Tennessee, and we need to prepare for it. The amount of snow supposedly supposed to fall is 3 inches, mainly over Interstate 40. With that, the closer you get to the Kentucky line, the worse the snow is meant to be. The snowfall is supposed to hit us from Saturday morning to Sunday evening.
In this amount of snow, you will need to be careful on roads, especially untreated roads. I would also say get especially careful on bridges and overpasses. With some of us living in places that are not treated for snow, we will not be able to leave our houses. You can stock up on the essentials, but only for a short period, not a whole month's worth of toilet paper. The biggest problem we might be facing is power outages across the county. If that were to come into play, families should try to put blankets over the doors and windows to keep the heat in, and make any fires if possible. But with that, we have been through tougher storms, so be ready, but don't be scared.
