Nancy Guthrie Case: Man Detained, Later Released Is A Person Of Interest

    On Wednesday, February 11, 2026, the Pima County Sheriff's Department detained a man for questioning following the kidnapping of 84-year-old Nancy Guthrie, who was later released after not being seen as guilty of any actions regarding Nancy Guthrie's disappearance. Fox News US sent a message saying “Still no Suspect: Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos told Fox News that no one was arrested and no one remains in custody following an operation in Tucson conducted Friday in connection to the Nancy Guthrie case. Sources told Fox News Digital that at least three people had been detained in connection with a search warrant conducted at a residence in Tucson late Friday, about two miles from Guthrie's home. Photos gave a partial view of one man handcuffed and detained in the parking lot of a Culver's restaurant nearby in connection with the search warrant, but no charges were confirmed. Authorities have not named any suspects or persons of interest for two weeks since 84-year-old Guthrie vanished from her Tucson home on Feb 1. The news teams are still waiting for a formal press conference from the authorities to summarize the recent coverage of the Guthrie case. Each day adds up to new covers or just longer days and longer hours of not releasing any information on behalf of Nancy Guthrie. Sheriff Chris Nanos has led side interviews with multiple news teams, such as Fox News, and local outlets on the TV station. No new press conferences are scheduled. According to Fox News “ We have been keeping in touch with our Fox Crews, on the ground who have been keeping an eye on the scene from the street level and then the Fox Flight team has also been taking images giving us a view from the sky and sometimes this gives us a better perspective when we see investigators looking inside the property or looking outside of the property”. Fox News also states “ A pool cleaner might come and just kind of remind you that life in some regards despite this bizarre situation and potentially tragic situation that we've been tracking for two weeks now,
