Jason Breeden

Mr. Breeden served in the Navy. He would like to honor his father who served in the Army.


Joseph Caldwell

Mr. Caldwell served in the Army. He would like to honor Dave St. Andrew who also served in the Army.


Jamada Garner

Mr. Garner served in the Navy.


Ken Davis

Mr. Davis served in the U.S. Navy. Davis would like to honor and remember the many who have served in his family. His father and uncle served in the Navy, and both grandfathers served in the Army. His cousin served in the Special Forces and was shot in Haiti. When I asked Mr. Davis who he would like to remember and honor he said, “ It’s hard to choose one. Not only do I want to honor my family, but all the men and women who had the calling to defend freedom.”


Terry Lawlor

Mr. Lawlor served in the National Guard and Air Force. He would like to honor and remember all the men he served with. 


Virgil McKee

Mr. McKee served in the U.S. Navy.  Mr. McKee would like to honor his father who served in the Army and Air Force.


Rusty Smith

Mr. Smith served in the U.S. Air Force. Coach Smith would like to honor and remember the many men in his family who have bravely served. His father, Jimmy A. Smith Sr., also served in the Army. 


This is in Coach Smith’s classroom, located in the library. Pictures and memorabilia adorn his wall and are dedicated to the men who served in Coach Smith’s family.

       Thank you to all veterans for your bravery, sacrifice, and service to our country. Especially our Powell Veterans! Your dedication and courage inspire us all. We are forever grateful for your commitment to protecting our freedom. Happy Veterans Day!
