By Aiden Gallagher

The Powell Panthers had their final game of the season on Friday, November 17th, against the West Rebels. In honor of the Powell Panthers having a great overall season this year, here’s a throwback to an impressive win by the Panthers.

The Panthers got their second win in a row last week taking down the Clinton Dragons 45-27. Connor Wheeler had an electric night on the ground going for three touchdowns and was over 100 yards again. The Panther's defense was a force to be reckoned with turning over the Dragons 3 times. The highly anticipated matchup was lopsided from the start, with the Panthers ending the 1st quarter up 28-0.

Biggest Storylines:

Powell:

The Panthers won another game using an overwhelming ground game and smothering defense. Turning over the Dragons 3 times and rushing for nearly 400 total yards.

Clinton:

The Dragons struggled to get anything going on offense. Given they were playing an elite defense however if they want to make any noise the rest of the year they will have to execute better.

Next Game:

Powell:

The Panthers will travel to Halls to take on the Red Devils, the two teams will meet for the 20th time with the Panthers leading the series 14-5. The Red Devils will look to stay undefeated, after opening the season on a 5-game win streak

Clinton:

The Dragons will go back home to take on the Oak Ridge Wildcats. The Wildcats will give Clinton a tough challenge as they have proven themselves to be one of the best teams in 5A.
