By Aiden Gallagher

Game Summary:

Powell took down Clinton Friday 78-65 to move to 6-0. An impressive defensive performance saw the Panther dominate Clinton on both sides of the court. This game wasn't as close as it looked on paper. Powell never trailed throughout the entire game, going up 2-0 to start and never giving the lead away. The Panthers stole the ball 12 times and had 18 points off of Clinton turnovers. They showcased their ability to take the ball away from other teams and this ability to shut them down will go a long way in determining the rest of their season. Coming into the game the Panthers were averaging 64.4 PPG and they came out hot scoring 78 in the game. Overall, it was a great showing from the Panthers and it will be interesting to see how they build on it going forward.

Biggest Storyline:

Powell:

Junior PG Dylan Stooksbury came into the game averaging 2.2 PPG and exploded with a 16-point performance. Stooksbury got the majority of his points from fastbreaks after Clinton's turnovers. This shows an ability to get down the floor in a hurry. Expect more from him in the future.

Clinton:

Despite the loss, Junior PG Jeremiah Lee had a 25-point performance, getting several steals and several assists. Lee has been the leader of this Clinton team all year and will continue to do so for the rest of the season.
