Maui Fires

Not long before this tragedy Hurricane Dora hit Hawaii and caused many tragic winds. Due to the dry tragic winds a tree knocked onto a powerline causing one of the fires in Lahaina however, not long after another fire broke out in Kula. These fires grew by many flammable objects and ended up destroying more than 2,000 homes and killing over 100 people. This fire caused about 5 Billion dollars of damage with this including homes, businesses, schools, hotels, etc. During this fire, many aircrafts could not fly over or had to land. Also during the fire, there started becoming water shortages which made it harder to fight the fire. After the fire, President Biden came to grieve this tragedy, especially the people's lives that have been lost. This fire was known as one of the deadliest fires in the USA for more than a Century.
