One of the most talked about shows at the moment is “Shameless”. The main character who plays Fiona Gallagher (Emmy Rossum), is leaving the show after 9 seasons. Another star who took a break from the show, Cameron Monaghan, is returning for season 10 to take over the role as an older sibling. Emmy’s primary role in the show is known as the oldest sister who takes full time care of six kids. She’s been a part of the cast since day one and everyone loves her character. This season, Emmy announced that she was leaving the show for good. In an interview with CNN she states, “See, in life, unlike Fiona, I’m an only child. I never had a big family. Being ensconced in that messy Gallagher family love is something I’ve dreamed of.” She made her initial announcement about leaving on Instagram, with a statement saying, “The opportunity to play Fiona has been a gift.” She also said, “There is much more Gallagher story to be told.” So we can expect many more seasons of craziness. Emmy will be missed by a lot of people, but will not be forgotten thanks to her genuine portrayal of her role.
