Jussie Smollett, an actor/singer, has been arrested for allegedly filing a false report of a hate-crime. Smollett claims that two men attacked him with racial and homophobic slurs on January 29th. The men supposedly went on to wrap a rope around his neck and yell, This is MAGA country! There is evidence that Smollett paid the men that attacked him for a type of publicity stunt. After reviewing footage and other research, police found two men that seem suspicious. They happen to be people that Jussie Smollett knew. According to abc7chicago.com, one of them was an extra on The Empire and the other was Smollett's personal trainer. They were then taken in and questioned for a 48-hour investigation. In the 47th, they confessed to being paid to stage the crime. Smollett was put on a $100,000 bond, and he paid a $10,000 bail. The next hearing is on March 14th.
