On Friday, February 22, 2019, a spacecraft was launched into space by SpaceIL into space to land on the moon. The spacecraft was launched in orbit around the earth, and every time it completes an orbit around the earth, it fires its engines for three minutes to push it further out until it hits the moon. In doing this, the spacecraft will save fuel, but it will take longer to reach its destination.
Unfortunately, the ship has gone through a number of problems that the engineers are working on now. One of these problems is that the light sensors on the outside of the ship were too sensitive. This messes with the navigation system causing it to go off course. Another problem is that the ship’s system restarted on its own slightly delaying its arrival on the moon.
Though these problems slightly delay the ship’s landing, it will make it.
