Genius

Genius: a person who is exceptionally intelligent or creative. What is a genius? IQs of 140 or higher, skilled talents and creativity? That’s exactly it. When most people mention a genius we think of Albert Einstein, Leonardo Da Vinci, Plato, and Socrates. What about the geniuses of today? We barely hear about the CEOs, artists, and musicians; the people of our age with amazing minds.

Garry Kasparov: one of the smartest men on Earth. With an IQ of 190, he is also a top skilled chess player. At the age of 22 he beat a chess computer, which calculated 3 million positions per second. He is still the youngest champion of all time, beating Anatoly Karpov in just 24 moves.

Another genius: Marilyn Vos Savant. She has been placed in the Guinness world records for having the highest intelligence quotient of women since the book has had the category. She is an American magazine columnist, author, playwright, and lecturer.

Rick Rosner: He works as a television personality and a reality television writer. He is known for his T.V. presence and his unusually high IQ score. He has earned many awards including WGA award for best comedy/variety. Unusual for a genius right?

At 42 years old, Judit Polgar: She is the top female chess grandmaster. She is the first women to meet such high ranks and has even trumped the skills of Garry Kasparov. She has barely played in women specific tournaments or women’s games. Her IQ is an assumed 170, and she has been playing chess since she was at the tender age of 5 years old.

There are so many amazing minds in our world today. Everyday they change the course of our future. With these great minds who knows what is bound to happen next.
