William Rick Singer, the head-honcho behind a massive college scam was in a Boston federal court to face the charges against him such as money laundering, racketeering, obstruction of justice, and conspiracy. The FBI recorded his phone calls and caught him saying "I help the wealthiest families in the U.S. get their kids into school." He also stated he has performed 761 illegal college entries. Court has released documents saying he said “...they don't want me messing around… they want this thing done… they want in certain schools…” Singer also gave out some of the celebrities names he has helped including but not limited to Lori Loughlin and Felicity Huffman. Ms. Loughlin and many others have been convicted for Money Laundering and Racketeering and could face up to 20 max years in prison.Singer plead guilty to money laundering, racketeering, obstruction of justice, and conspiracy. He is now facing a maximum of 65 years if convicted. Many hope he gets convicted because what he did is unfair to students not just in those colleges but in all colleges and universities across the world. Students work their whole lives through school to get in to a good college, but these kids did no work and still got in. I personally would’ve been furious if I worked that hard just to have my spot given away to someone who cheated their way through the system.
