Chow Hall Review

By Logan Heidenreich

The Chow Hall is a military themed restaurant off of the side of Emory Road. Their main focus is American foods, such as hamburgers and hot dogs. They are most notable for their burgers and their wall that portrays pictures of veterans.

The building that the Chow Hall rests in is a rather small building with a small trailer/kitchen attached to the side. Though it is small, it does produce a very positive and relaxed environment. The waitresses are very inviting, polite, and willing to help you with any questions you may have about the decorations or the menu. The decor, aside from the food, was something that I found interesting and worthy of noting. The left wall and some of the entrance wall is filled with photos of veterans that the owner is either related to or is friends with. Along with the pictures, they keep a Bible in the corner of the room.

The best part about the place is the food. As I stated before, they serve American foods, and they excel at it. I did not try a hot dog and I have only had one of their burgers which was the Smokey Burger. This burger has lettuce, bacon, cheese, onion, tomato, pickles, and barbecue sauce. In my honest opinion, this is one of the best burgers I have ever had, and I strongly suggest it if you are to go there.

Chow Hall is an overall great place that I have had little to complain about. The only things I have to say about it is that they should upgrade to a better and bigger building, and the wait time for your food is a little too long. Also, it is a little pricey: a meal might cost you around $10 but it is more than worth it.

If you are ever wanting something new and are craving some American, I highly suggest you give this hidden gem a try.
