The Panthers won last Friday against Anderson County, with a final score of 48-36.
In a tough fight the Panthers took hold of the Mavs in the second half. At the end of the first half, the score was 20-12 AC. Moving on to the end of the 3rd quarter the Panthers were still down by 10 with a score of 30-20. Starting the 4th with 11:55 to go Powell started closing in with a score of 30-28. Bailor Hughes (3) with a huge interception on our 15 led to a touchdown and missed two point conversion, 34-30 Powell. With about 6 minutes remaining the score had climbed to 40-30 Panthers. Second and goal from the 16 led to another Panther touchdown and conversion bringing the score to 48-30 Powell. Anderson County scored with about 20 seconds left, bringing the final score to 48-36 Panthers.
