On Wednesday, February 19th, an Amber Alert was sent out for Evelyn Mae Boswell. Evelyn is a fifteenth month old, blond hair, blue eyed, little girl. She is two feet tall and weighs approximately 28 pounds.
Evelyn’s grandfather reported the child missing on February 18th. The Sullivan County Sheriff's Office launched an investigation but failed to get an Amber Alert out until the next day close to nighttime. It was later learned that Evelyn hadn’t been seen since December 26th. However, Sullivan County Sheriff Jeff Cassidy then announced that it was more likely that the child hadn’t been seen since December 10th or 11th by the babysitter.
There are so many questions in this investigation. Why did it take a whole day to send the Amber Alert? Why did no one report Evelyn missing in December? Who was the last person to see her? Maybe we will get answers to our questions, but for now all we can do is hope and pray Evelyn is safe and will be found soon.
